PRE-S. I’m putting on a Decision-Making Workshop on Nov 6. $90 for 2 hours of training. Sign-up here, or write me back with questions.
I try to remember that titles are fiction, invented by someone else.
Sometimes useful, sometimes not, but always fiction.
At their best, they help me remember my unique role on the team.
At their worst, they get in the way of connecting with others.
When I see myself as the title, others are more likely to do the same - and treat me accordingly.
When I see myself as a person, equal in all ways with others around me, my title fades into the background.
Maybe not “taking yourself too seriously” actually means not taking your title too seriously - and remembering it’s fictional.
People connect with people, not titles.
Now it’s your turn
How does your view of titles impact how others treat you?
Hit REPLY, I’d love to hear from ya.
